The work tasks undertaken by vacuum pumps in vacuum systems

Due to the fact that the performance of various vacuum pumps not only meets the common requirements for vacuuming containers, but also has differences. Therefore, it is very important to clarify the working tasks that pumps undertake in vacuum systems when selecting. The roles that pumps play in various working fields can be summarized as follows.

1. The main pump in the system refers to the vacuum pump that directly evacuates the vacuum system container to obtain the required vacuum degree to meet the process requirements.

2. Coarse pumping pump refers to a vacuum pump that reduces the pressure of a vacuum system from atmospheric pressure until another pumping system can start working.

3. Pre stage pump refers to a vacuum pump used to maintain the pre stage pressure of another pump below its permissible pre stage pressure.

4. Maintaining pump refers to the situation where the vacuum system has very little pumping and cannot effectively utilize the main front-end pump. For this purpose, an auxiliary front-end pump with a lower pumping speed is equipped in the vacuum system to maintain the normal operation of the main pump or to maintain the low-pressure vacuum pump required for the evacuated container.  

5. Coarse vacuum pump or low vacuum pump refers to a vacuum pump that starts from the atmosphere, reduces the pressure of the container being pumped, and operates within a low vacuum or coarse vacuum pressure range.

6. High vacuum pump refers to a vacuum pump that operates in a high vacuum range.

7. Ultra high vacuum pump refers to a vacuum pump that operates in the ultra-high vacuum range.  

8. Boosting pump usually refers to a vacuum pump that operates between a low vacuum pump and a high vacuum pump, used to increase the pumping volume of the pumping system in the intermediate pressure range or reduce the pumping rate requirements of the preceding pump.
